Les Artisans BoƮtiers SA

Aware of the need to continually renew and improve its creativity, in May 2000 the Sandoz Family Foundation acquired one of the most famous top-range case workshops: Les Artisans BoĆ®tiers SA in La Chaux-de-Fonds.  With its ability to design the most complex cases using three-dimensional computer-aided design (CAD), and then to produce them on numerically controlled machine tools (CNC), Les Artisans BoĆ®tiers SA combines the industrial expertise it has acquired through many years of experience with state-of-the-art technology in production processes.

Whether making a watch as a unique item or in mass-production, from precious metals (18 carat gold, 950 platinum or 950 palladium), steel or titanium, Les Artisans BoĆ®tiers SA’s strength lies in having at its disposal methods equal to the complexity of producing the watch. First rate jeweler-finishers still practise their exceptional trade at Les Artisans BoĆ®tiers SA. They can completely manufacture each component of the case themselves. It takes a jeweler more than 50 operations and several weeks of work to make a model combining several complications, such as the Parmigiani Fleurier Tecnica.

Since 2008, Les Artisans BoƮtiers SA has also been involved in training young apprentices (polishing, jewelry, administration), and has recently hired an apprenticeship master.
