Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier SA

The Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier factory was founded in November 2003. It marks the split of Parmigiani Mesure et Art du Temps (founded by Michel Parmigiani in 1976) into two sister companies: the production house and the Parmigiani Fleurier brand. Thus its watchmaking activity is clearly separated from the activity of promoting the Parmigiani Fleurier brand. Located in Fleurier, Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier specializes in the “High-end” and “Prestige” sectors, and mass-produces high quality movements identified with the Parmigiani Fleurier image. Its creation also marks the desire to continue the private label activity which Michel Parmigiani had previously begun. The production of high-end movements for third parties is now a full-fledged activity on a par with production for the Parmigiani brand, thus enabling the firm to make more productive use of the industrial plant set up by the Sandoz Family Foundation. It brings together the activities of Research & Development, CNC machining of plates, bridges and certain watch components, a large mechanical workshop, several pre-assembly, assembly, packing and training workshops, decoration of plates and bridges, hand beveling of all components, and electroplating.

Until September 2009, Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier’s activities were divided between three separate sites in Fleurier. The acquisition of a 40,000 m² lot in the municipality by the Sandoz Family Foundation has made it possible to consolidate activities and employees on a single site. The new building will be inaugurated on September 4, 2009.
